The Nexus Saddlery team is a diverse group of independent saddle fitters—each committed to supporting riders and their horses with honesty, expertise, and individualized attention.
What sets the fitters we work with apart is not just technical skill, but a holistic understanding of the horse–rider partnership. The fitters we partner with consider the entire picture: anatomy, biomechanics, discipline, training level, goals, and more. They continually learn, evolve, and fine-tune their craft, ensuring every client receives the highest standard of care.
By working together, we’re able to provide our independent fitter partners with additional resources, support, and access to a wider variety of saddles all with the goal of better serving the riders and horses they work with.
Meet the Founder — Ann Jacobson, QSF with the Society of Master Saddlers (Jacobson's Saddlery)
Ann is a lifelong equestrian and Qualified Saddle Fitter through the Society of Master Saddlers with 14 years of saddle fitting experience. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and professional experience at Caterpillar, Ann brings a uniquely analytical and biomechanically focused perspective to saddle fitting.
Her journey began with her own horse, Fox, whose challenges sparked a deep curiosity about saddle design, tree profiles, rider biomechanics, and dynamic fit. Over five years of coursework, mentorship, and rigorous examination in the United Kingdom, Ann earned her SMS qualification—an achievement held by only a small number of fitters nationwide.
Today, Ann combines her engineering mind, lifetime of horsemanship, constant thirst for knowledge, and passion for collaborative learning to lead Nexus Saddlery and support fitters across the country.
